Dear Students,
Today, we are going to start an exciting journey into the world of Life Science. Life Science is the study of living things—like plants, animals, and people. It helps us understand how living things grow, change, and survive in our world.
First, let’s learn the difference between living and non-living things.
Living things can grow, move, breathe, and need food and water. Examples: plants, animals, and humans.
Non-living things do not grow or need food. Examples: rocks, chairs, and toys.
👉 Activity: Look around your classroom or home and name 3 living things and 3 non-living things.
Plants are very important because they give us food and oxygen. A plant has different parts:
Roots hold the plant in the soil.
Stem helps the plant stand tall.
Leaves make food using sunlight.
Flowers make seeds that grow into new plants.
👉 Activity: Plant a seed in a small pot and water it every day. Watch how it grows!
Animals are living things too. They live in different places, called habitats.
Fish live in water.
Birds live in nests.
Lions live in caves or grasslands.
Animals need food, water, air, and shelter to survive—just like us!
Our bodies are amazing! We have:
Five senses – sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
Body parts that help us move, eat, and play.
To stay healthy, we must eat good food, exercise, wash our hands, and get enough sleep.
All living things grow and change. This is called a life cycle.
A seed grows into a plant.
A caterpillar becomes a butterfly.
A baby grows into an adult.
Life cycles show us how wonderful nature is!
Life Science teaches us to observe, care for, and respect living things. By learning about plants, animals, and our own bodies, we understand how everything is connected in the circle of life.
Remember, Science begins with curiosity. Keep asking questions, and you will become a great scientist one day Inshallah! 🌟
Dear Students,
Today we will explore a very interesting subject called Earth Science. Earth Science is the study of our planet—the land, water, air, and sky. It helps us understand the world we live in and how to take care of it.
Our Earth is made of three main parts:
Land – mountains, valleys, deserts, and forests.
Water – rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans.
Air – the invisible blanket around Earth that we breathe.
👉 Activity: Draw a picture showing land, water, and sky.
The weather tells us if it is sunny, rainy, windy, or cloudy outside. Weather can change every day.
The year is divided into seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Each season has its own kind of weather.
👉 Activity: Look outside today and describe the weather in one sentence.
The ground we walk on is made of rocks and soil.
Rocks are hard and come in different shapes and colors.
Soil is soft and helps plants grow.
Without soil, plants could not survive!
👉 Activity: Collect small rocks and soil from your garden. Notice how they look and feel different.
Earth is our home. It gives us air to breathe, water to drink, and land to live on. We must take care of it by:
Throwing trash in bins.
Planting trees.
Saving water and electricity.
👉 Activity: Share one way you can help keep Earth clean.
Earth Science teaches us how amazing our planet is and why it is important to protect it. From the land beneath our feet to the sky above our heads, Earth is full of wonders waiting to be discovered.
Always remember: If we take care of the Earth, the Earth will take care of us! 🌏✨
Dear Students,
Today, we are going to learn about Physical Science. Physical Science is the study of matter, energy, and forces. It helps us understand the things we see, touch, and use every day.
Everything in the world is made of matter. Matter has shape and takes up space.
Matter comes in three forms, called states:
Solid – hard and keeps its shape (book, chair, rock).
Liquid – flows and takes the shape of a container (water, juice).
Gas – invisible and spreads everywhere (air, steam).
👉 Activity: Find 1 solid, 1 liquid, and 1 gas around you.
Light helps us see things. The Sun is our main source of light. We also use bulbs, lamps, and candles.
Sound is what we hear when something makes noise—like birds singing, music, or clapping hands.
👉 Activity: Cover your eyes for a minute—can you still hear sounds? This shows how sound helps us when light is not around.
Energy is what makes things move and work.
The Sun gives us heat energy and light energy.
Food gives us energy to play, run, and study.
Batteries give energy to toys and machines.
👉 Activity: Jump up and down 5 times—did you use energy? Yes!
A force is a push or pull that makes things move.
If you push a ball, it rolls away.
If you pull a toy car with a string, it comes toward you.
👉 Activity: Try pushing and pulling your chair. Did you notice how force changes its position?
Physical Science helps us understand how the world works. From the matter that makes up everything, to light, sound, energy, and forces—science is all around us!
Remember, every time you move, play, or even speak—you are using science. 🌈✨
Welcome to Grade 1 Life Science, where young learners begin their exciting journey of exploring the living world! This subject is specially designed to help students understand plants, animals, and the environment around them in a fun and simple way.
Students will learn about different parts of a plant such as roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits. They will explore how each part has a special role, like roots taking in water, leaves making food, and flowers turning into fruits.
Children will study how plants grow from seeds into big trees. They will observe how sunlight, water, and soil help a plant stay alive and healthy. Simple experiments, like planting a seed, make learning joyful.
Students will explore the world of animals – from tiny insects to big mammals. They will learn about animals that live on land, in water, and those that fly in the sky. Special focus is given to mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians.
Children will understand how animals grow and change during their life. For example, they will learn how a butterfly starts as an egg, becomes a caterpillar, then a pupa, and finally turns into a butterfly.
Students will discover that all living things need food, water, air, and shelter to survive. They will compare living and non-living things to understand the difference.
Life Science also teaches about different places where plants and animals live. Students will learn about forests, deserts, oceans, and grasslands, and how each living thing has a home called a habitat.
The course is filled with fun activities like drawing plant parts, observing animals, planting seeds, and nature walks. These hands-on tasks make learning exciting and memorable.
Life Science helps Grade 1 students connect with nature, respect living things, and understand the balance of life. It builds curiosity and a love for the environment that stays with them forever.
Welcome to Grade 1 Earth Science, where students begin their discovery of our amazing planet! This subject helps children explore soil, rocks, weather, water, and natural resources in simple, fun ways.
Students will learn about different materials that make up the Earth, such as rocks, soil, sand, and water. They will study how these materials are useful in our daily life.
Children will explore rocks of different shapes, colors, and sizes. They will also learn how rocks can break down into soil and how nature changes them over time.
Students will discover different types of soil, like sandy soil and clay soil, and learn how soil helps plants grow. Fun experiments, like planting seeds in different soils, make lessons exciting.
Children will be introduced to fossils – the remains of plants or animals found in rocks. This helps them understand that Earth has a long history and that many living things lived here before us.
Students will explore how the weather changes every day and how we have four main seasons – spring, summer, autumn, and winter. They will also learn how weather affects our clothes, food, and activities.
Earth Science introduces students to natural resources like water, air, plants, and animals. They will understand why these resources are important and how we must use them wisely.
